Asian Hockey Championship
Another exciting year is upon us folks!! The 19th AHC & CE is just around the corner, and will be held May 16th – 18th long weekend again this year. We have some new and exciting ideas planned, and the event should be safe, fun and packed with lots of great hockey games. The last 19 years has brought together a strong community of players from the age of 15 – 60 and this continues to grow every year! We pride ourselves as being North America’s largest Asian Hockey Tourney, bringing together players from all over Canada, the US and Asia. Click here for more info
The AHC & CE thanks all the Partners that have supported the event in the past. We continue to talk to companies, associations and individuals to try and bring the best possible mix of hockey, activities and prizes to this event. List of Partners

"If you turn your head, he will skate past you . . . No joke!"
Outside of the arena, he describes himself as humble, quiet, and occasionally taking a risk here and there. On the ice, Walker Chu is anything but quiet and conservative.
An all-star two way defenseman in the SFL and in the Lower Intermediate Division for the AHC, Chu is constantly on the puck and up with the rushes. He loves the fast pace nature and mimics how Paul Kariya of the Nashville Predators plays. Full Story
Media Coverage and Story Sharing
The support and coverage we have received from the Media the last few years has been tremendous! From the participation of the first ever Asian Women’s hockey team, to the participation of players from as far as Japan. The AHC & CE continues to create interesting community stories, and break new ground in North America.
Media coverage over the years include: CityTV, OMNI TV, Fairchild Television, Toronto Star, Toronto Sun, Ming Pao, Sing Tao, World Daily Journal, The Scarborough Mirror . . . and more.
Women’s Division – expansion in the works
2006 saw the first ever Women’s Asian team play in the AHC & CE. A year later, we saw a 4 team division formed with a lot of excitement and energy surrounding it. This year, the demand has been even stronger, and we are looking at expanding this even more. Please email us if you are interested, or you know anyone interested in participating. Kid’s Division this Year?
Men have been playing in the tournament for 18 years, and women started to make their mark 2 years ago. The next logical step is to include the children. As Whitney Houston once sang… “I believe the children are the future, teach them hockey, and let them lead the way!!” This is definitely a group we would like to include this year! We have noticed a growing number of children participate in the arts and crafts activities, and taking to the ice during the family skate. Perhaps a 4 team tournament would be a good start.
So this is a call out to gauge the interest for a children’s division (ages 6 – 15). We will start by accumulating a list of interested players by age and skill, and creating teams that will be as fair as possible. Please email us at changr@mygamesheet.com
Entertainment and Cultural Activities
This side of the event has been received very well (since its inception 2 years ago), and has expanded with the growth of the tournament. We have been entertained by the band “The 77’s” for a couple of years, and we have included a family skate, Cultural Arts and Crafts, Balloon Making and Face Painting. We have also partnered up with a Chinese restaurant to allow participants to experience Chinese food.
We would love to keep growing and incorporate different ideas in regards to this side of the event. We have a large contingent of Japanese, Korean, and Filipino players. There is also a growing base of Vietnamese, Malaysian and other South East Asian Cultures.
