East York Skating Club - Diane Fukushima

We are pleased to welcome Diane Fukushima, a Level 2 Certified Professional Coach.

Diane will hold a free figure skating clinic during the tournament.

Diane is certified through the National Coaching Certification Program and has worked with skaters in a Learn to Skate level for over 24 years, as well as with skaters at a competitive level.

Diane specialize in singles skating but also works with young synchronized skating teams. She is the Club Administrator at the East York Skating club.



Sifu Ian Chow Northern Legs Southern Fists

Northern Legs Southern Fists have been a long time supporter of the AHC&CE. This year they have generously offered to entertain the AHC&CE community with a Chinese Lion Dance performance, and share a little history into this interesting tradition.



Sakura Kai

For over 50 years, the Sakura Kai dancers have appeared in countless performances for the Japanese-Canadian community and the general public in and around Toronto and southern Ontario and even as far as Puerto Rico. Sakura Kai regularly performs at fund raisers, special events, cultural shows, senior homes, universities and festivals at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. Today, Sakura Kai has a healthy membership consisting of students from first to fourth generation Japanese-Canadians as well as those from non-Japanese backgrounds and more recently second generation Sakura Kai dancers (children of alumni). Current teachers are long time members who started dancing in their childhood years and grew up in the organization . Sakura Kai shows every promise of continuing to preserve the art of Odori in Canada as envisioned by its founders.
